Founder
Hi, I'm Damion — a proud creative, dreamer, and founder of Open Mind Kreation. Born and raised in Spartanburg, South Carolina, I’m a 49-year-old man with a lifelong passion for all things artistic. From a young age, I was drawn to singing, dancing, drawing, and fashion — constantly seeking ways to express the vibrant energy within me.
Though I set aside some of those childhood dreams as I got older, everything shifted the night I had a vivid dream about gifting one of my handmade candles to a celebrity. That dream lit a spark in me — the spark that became Open Mind Kreation. What started as a simple creative outlet quickly grew into something much deeper: a purpose-driven business built on imagination, intention, and soulful design.
Candle-making has become the perfect blend of art, emotion, and ritual — a space where my creativity can thrive and connect with others. Whether I’m singing along to music in my studio, immersed in the glow of wax and fragrance, or geeking out over video games in my downtime, I carry that same joy and energy into every candle I craft.
